Our second song with Moon Talk is called, “Sister Jane” and it might even be darker than the first. As I listen to Vaughn’s sweet/sad crooning I’m definitely reminded of Dead Serious Lovers, but in this new project there’s something different that I’m having a hard time nailing down. Both bands have a melancholy sense of course. But especially represented in this song is a more tender or romantic outlook on a sad confession. Anytime a song speaks of depression, suicide and heartbreak in it’s lyrics…yet somehow sounds so beautiful and calming, there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel for whoever the subjects may be.

Be on the lookout for Moon Talk performances coming and follow them on Facebook and Twitter. Check out all of our Collect Sessions here. Is there an artist or a band you’d like to see in a future session? Let us know! Or do you have a business or cool space you would like to offer for a shoot, we’d love to explore more unique places to host the sessions.

Thanks again to the Spokane Film Project, This Had Better Be Good Films and Slothberg Productions for their great work on these last two sessions. We are excited for future collaborations!
